Our history

What began in 1967 with Aart Verburg selling cheese, butter, and eggs door-to-door with a horse and cart, has grown into a thriving family business with a passion for Dutch cheese. In the 1970s, Verburg Cheese found its place at weekly markets and in specialty cheese shops, and since the 1990s we have also been serving wholesale customers both nationally and internationally.

We offer a wide assortment of Dutch cheeses from all the well-known dairies, as well as artisanal farmhouse cheeses from around fifteen farms where cheese is still made daily with love and dedication.
